Application for renewal of the authorisation for import and processing of genetically modified (GM) cotton MON 88913

COGEM has been asked to advise on a renewal of an application for the import and processing of genetically modified (GM) cotton MON 88913. This GM cotton expresses the cp4 epsps gene, making it tolerant to glyphosate-containing herbicides.
Because the import permit will soon expire, the applicant has requested a renewal of the permit and COGEM has been asked to advise on the environmental safety aspects of the renewed application.
