Advice on import and processing of GM maize DP915635

COGEM has been asked to advise on the environmental risks of genetically modified (GM) maize line DP915635. This GM produces the IPD079Ea protein which confers tolerance to the corn rootworm, and the phosphinothricin acetyl­transferase (PAT) protein, which confers tolerance to glufosinate-ammonium containing herbicides. GM maize DP915635 also produces the phosphomannose isomerase (PMI) protein, which serves as a selection marker.
