All overview lists of risk group classifications updated in 2021

COGEM advises on the pathogenicity classes of different (micro-)organisms and viruses, or on the necessary containment measures for different plant species. Periodically COGEM publishes overview lists that are updated in response to newly issued advices and/or new taxonomic insights.

The lists updated in 2021 can be found here: viruses, bacteria, fungi, parasites and plant species. In addition, COGEM has for the first time published an overview of organisms that fall outside these categories, such as (micro-) algae and single-celled organisms or ‘worms’ that appear to be apathogenic or non-parasitic.
