Request for advice on the import and processing of GM soybean MON 94313 x MON 89788

The COGEM is asked to advise on the environmental safety aspects of the import and processing of genetically modified (GM) soybean MON 94313 x MON 89788. This soybean line was created through conventional crossing of parental GM soybean lines MON 94313 and MON 89788. These parental lines have previously been positively assessed by COGEM. MON 89788 has been authorized for import and processing on the European market since 2008. In this stacked line, genes are expressed that provide tolerance to various herbicides.
