The COGEM is asked to advise on the environmental safety aspects of the import and processing of genetically modified (GM) soybean MON 94637 x MON 87751 x MON 87701 x MON 94313 x MON 89788. This soybean line was created through conventional crossing of parental GM soybean lines MON 94637, MON 87751, MON 87701, MON 94313, MON 89788. These parental lines have previously been assessed and authorized for the European market for import and processing. In this hybrid line, genes are expressed that provide tolerance to various herbicides and resistance to certain pest insects.
