Accesibility
An accessible website is easier to use for all target groups. That is why, under the Temporary Decree on Digital Accessibility (Tijdelijk besluit digitale toegankelijkheid overheid), government websites are required to meet accessibility standards as set out in EN 301 549 and WCAG 2.1 AA, and to take responsibility for this by publishing an accessibility statement.

Improving Accessibility
An accessibility audit has been carried out for the COGEM website. The report is in Dutch and available as download. Based on the findings, a project has been initiated to ensure that the website meets the WCAG 2.1 criteria. During a follow-up assessment, it was found that the website does not yet fully meet all requirements. The follow-up report is also only available as download in Dutch. These shortcomings will be addressed as soon as possible.
There are approximately 2,000 PDFs on the COGEM website that do not fully meet the WCAG criteria. PDFs published after 1 July 2024 do comply with the requirements. For the other PDFs, we are exploring whether it is possible to make them more accessible.
