Members of the executive board

The COGEM executive board sets the policy and direction of the committee. The executive board consists of the chair of COGEM and the chairs of the three subcommittees. The chair of COGEM chairs the meetings of the executive board. The general secretary acts as sec­re­tary of the executive board. The members of the executive board are:

  • Prof. Sybe Schaap, the chair of COGEM
  • Prof. J.P.M. van Putten, the chair of the subcommittee Medical Veterinary, vice-chair of COGEM
  • Prof. H.F.M. te Molder, the chair of the subcommittee Ethics and Societal Aspects
  • Prof. M. de Visser, the chair of the subcommittee Contained Use
  • Prof. T.J.M. Elzenga, the chair of the subcommittee Agriculture

prof. Sybe Schaap

Sybe Schaap is a political philosopher and emeritus professor of Water Policy & Governance at Delft University of Technology and Wageningen University. His previous positions include dijkgraaf (chair of a water board), and chair of the Dutch water authorities, farmer, and philosophy lecturer.
