Advice on import and processing of GM soybean MON94637

COGEM has been asked to advise on possible environmental risks of importing and processing the genetically modified (GM) soy line MON94637. This GM soy contains the cry1A.2 and cry1B.2 genes, making the plant resistant to certain pest insects. MON94637 is used for creating crossing lines (‘stacked events’), but will not be marketed itself.
